A journal for women writers and artists.
FICTION
- We welcome literary fiction, chick lit, upmarket women’s contemporary, comedy, dramedy, rom-com, romance, drama, magical realism, mystery, suspense, thriller, and murder-centered fiction. We are especially drawn to stories with a strong voice, a sharp twist, and an element of wit, charm, or dark humor.
NONFICTION
- Memoir
- The author must be the central character. Memoir should read like a story, not an academic or craft-based essay. We do not accept graphic depictions of abuse or sexual situations. Book excerpts are welcome if they stand on their own as complete pieces.
- Essay
- We are looking for uplifting, affirming essays that leave the reader with something meaningful. We welcome work on subjects such as food, motherhood, relationships, health, and lifestyle, especially when anchored by an inspiring personal story.
- No research papers or literature reviews.
POETRY
- We’re open to a wide range of poetry—funny, emotional, strange, intense, or quietly reflective.
- We love work that feels alive on the page, whether it makes us laugh, think, or sit with something a little longer.
- Surprise us.
We welcome work that engages with difficult subject matter. However, we do not accept material that is discriminatory, divisive, or graphically depicts sexual content, abuse, or abusive behavior.
We embrace AI when it is used as a grammar or spelling checker. We eschew AI when the writing is not your own and will not accept AI generated work. Please be honest and only submit work you have written.
